TPL purchased the property from Bonaventure Land Holdings LLC and will enter into a lease-purchase agreement with the City of Punta Gorda for a period of three years, which will allow the city time to secure additional funds to complete the purchase.

Osceola County, FL, 12/21/2006 - Osceola County, in conjunction with the City of Kissimmee, recently purchased two properties from the Trust for Public Land (TPL) along Shingle Creek. The properties will become part of the Shingle Creek Greenway, a proposed 33-mile recreational trail along the creek that extends from Orange County to Lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee.

Ft. Pierce, FL, 12/21/2006 - The City of Fort Pierce and The Trust for Public Land (TPL) announced today the purchase for preservation of a 1.4-acre property that will nearly double the size of the city's South Jetty Park. The property, known locally as the Rollins parcel, was purchased from Bluewater III, LLC by TPL and conveyed to the city using funds from 2006 Improvement Bonds issued by the Ft. Pierce Redevelopment Agency.
