Swanson Creek, a serene 70-acre landscape in Charles County, Maryland, is a forested mosaic. This scenic space will soon become part of the Maxwell Hall Natural Resource Management Area (NRMA)—a local county park that offers over 14 miles of riding trails through fields, woodlands, steep terrain, and peaceful shoreline rest spots.

Cradled between the hamlet of Maxwell Hall and the nearby community of Buena Vista, Swanson Creek winds quietly toward the Potomac River, creating a natural corridor for exploration and recreation. A boat ramp along its shoreline invites visitors to paddle directly into the tidal waters, opening the door to unforgettable aquatic experiences.

By adding Swanson Creek to Maxwell Hall NRMA, this treasured stream will be permanently protected and open to the public.
