Zion National Park is one of the most popular national parks with over 4.5 million visitors per year—and for good reason. With its colorful red rock country, stunning slot canyons, and world-class hiking trails, Zion National Park offers unique outdoor experiences to visitors from around the world.

But even though this landscape is beloved and iconic, the park is threatened by nearly 3,500 acres of private inholdings within its boundaries. These inholdings could mean second home development and fragmentation, which would significantly impact the Zion experience. When these private inholdings become available for purchase—like Lambs Knoll—TPL acts quickly to protect these properties to build a wholistic Zion landscape.

Lambs Knoll is a short 30-minute drive from the west entrance of Zion, offering respite from more crowded areas of the park, and within a few miles of three other TPL projects. Visitors to Lambs Knoll are often immersed in the natural beauty and quiet scenery that the landscape’s unique rock formations provide. The area is popular with rock climbers who frequently access their favorite climbing routes via Lambs Knoll’s trail systems.
