This haven sits at the border between Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and serves as a vital connection between two expansive blocks of public land. With our partners at the National Park Service and the North Country Trail Association, we’ve ensured this stunning landscape is protected forever. Our work here not only protects its pristine habitat, but also opens new pathways for exploration, allowing public access to the serene beauty of the Montreal River and the captivating cascades of Superior Falls.

This precious space is also critical for the North Country Trail, where we hope to establish a new, off-road connection for America’s longest congressionally designated trail.
