Anacostia Park Fitness Zone®

Access to safe, affordable fitness opportunities is essential for public health—yet many communities still face barriers to exercise. That’s why we’re partnering with the National Park Service to bring free Fitness Zone® areas to urban parks like Anacostia Park in Washington, D.C. With support from ICF International, we helped create a brand-new outdoor gym featuring wheelchair-accessible equipment for cardio, strength, and flexibility training that’s open to people of nearly all ages and abilities. This new space supports the Healthy Parks Healthy People initiative and gives local residents more ways to enjoy the outdoors, connect with their community, and improve their well-being. No gym membership required!
