Deadline extended: time to double your impact

Sick of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday mayhem? Us too. For a more meaningful way to stretch your dollar further—and do some lasting good in the process—why not make a donation to The Trust for Public Land? An anonymous donor has graciously extended our gift match through December 31st. This means that if you make a donation any time in December, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar.

With so many park and land protection projects planned for the coming year, now is a critical time to help us build momentum for 2014. Save twice as much land and create twice as many parks by clicking here now

I received your Match-My-Gift Challenge letter and examined it for any mention of the person or agency that is matching the donations. Without this evidence, how would I know that the Challenge wasn't just a marketing ploy? Here in the blog you do mention "an anonymous donor," which gives the challenge more credibility. Please give recipients of your mailing campaign the benefit of knowing as much as they may about the matching donor. For now, I'll wait for further information about this figure.
Hi Mary, thanks for your feedback and interest in donating to our year end Match-My-Gift Challenge. This year, The Trust for Public Land has funds available from a generous donor to match all year-end gifts received to this campaign before December 31-dollar for dollar. If we make our ambitious goal, the total match funds available will be $250,000. Our lead donor is anonymous - but we thank them for their generosity and hope this match will inspire more of our members to make a tax-deductible gift to The Trust for Public Land this holiday season. The Trust for Public Land is committed to ethical and honest fundraising methods and we are very proud of our efficiency and transparency. We've been highly rated by independent charity watchdog groups like the Better Business Bureau, Forbes Magazine, and CharityWatch. We also list our public financial statements on Guidestar. I invite you to read more on this topic here: Thank you again for your interest and support. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
