Florida boasts over 1,350 miles of coastline, including 663 miles of sandy beaches along both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. Florida also features more than 11,000 miles of fresh water rivers, streams, and waterways. Protecting these shorelines is of the highest priority to The Trust for Public Land in Florida, and in fact, over 90% of our conservation work to date has been along our shores.
