In the heart of Cleveland’s Lee-Seville neighborhood, where generations have played ball in the open fields of Kerruish Park, a new chapter is taking shape; one rooted in local legacy and shaped by community vision.

Established in 1943 and spanning 76 acres, Kerruish Park is one of the city’s largest and most cherished green spaces. Now, a unique opportunity is emerging to reimagine its future through a collaborative effort led by those who know it best.

Thanks to a partnership between Trust for Public Land, the City of Cleveland Parks and Recreation Department, the IMBA Trails Solutions Team and Syatt, a grassroots organization with deep ties to the neighborhood, the design and development of Kerruish Park is moving forward with a bold, community-led plan.

With neighborhood momentum building and early-stage concepts for a mountain bike trail under consideration, the vision for Kerruish Park includes more than just new amenities. It’s about honoring history, uplifting local leadership, and creating a park that reflects the values and voices of its residents. Together, we’re investing in a future where everyone can connect with the outdoors, and with each other, in the places they call home.
