Florida Wildlife Corridor

Across 18 million acres of contiguous wilderness and working lands lies Florida’s Wildlife Corridor. Stacked with picturesque everglades, sprawling trail networks, and teeming with wildlife, this crucial ecosystem supports over 130 at risk species while showcasing some of Florida’s iconic landscapes.

Since 1972, TPL has been protecting acre after acre across these important lands. Some of this conservation work includes iconic landmarks like Everglades National Park, Tate’s Hall State Forest, Bald Point State Park, Blackwater River State Park, and the Florida National Scenic Trail. Not only does the Florida Wildlife Corridor play a critical role in public access to outdoor recreation, but the vast acreage also serves as the support system for Florida’s cities; improving the health of drinking water and sustaining Florida’s rural way of life by protecting access for ranching and fishing.
