This summer, The Trust for Public Land partnered with The Fresh Air Fund to help give city kids a chance to get outside. We supplied host families with a guide to some of our favorite conserved lands—from sandcastle-friendly beaches to fun forest trails. If you’re on the lookout for places to play on the Atlantic seaboard, you might find it handy, too.
Rising temperatures, bigger storms, and asphalt schoolyards pose significant risks during recess. Urge Congress to prioritize schoolyards that cool neighborhoods, manage stormwater, and provide opportunities for kids to connect with nature today!
