Robert Valliere

Bob Valliere is Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer. With more than 100 years of experience serving AAA members, CSAA Insurance Group offers automobile, homeowners, and other personal lines of insurance to AAA members through AAA clubs in 23 states and the District of Columbia. CSAA Insurance Group, with over $4 billion in annual revenue is one of the top personal lines property and casualty insurers in the United States.

Mr. Valliere leads the company’s claims, sales, service, business fulfillment, and agency support teams. He reports directly to CSAA Insurance Group President and CEO Thomas Troy. He has more than 35 years of insurance industry experience with two of the most respected companies in the insurance industry, AAA/CSAA Insurance Group, and Amica Mutual Insurance Company.  He has broad industry knowledge and executive-level experience in insurance operations, including in claims, policyholder service, underwriting, sales, training, technology transformations, and merger and acquisitions. Prior to being named Chief Operations Officer in 2018, Mr. Valliere was vice president of policyholder service, where he earned a reputation for his commitment to developing leadership skills in employees and for his passion for customer service excellence. 

On a personal level, Bob has a bachelor’s degree, majoring in accounting, from the University of Connecticut.  He currently serves on the advisory board for the Insurance Information Institute and previously served on the Board for the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region.  He has been married to his wife Karen for 27 years and has one daughter.  Bob and his family love the outdoors and all of its natural splendors.  They have been inspired by TPL’s commitment to health, equity, and climate through the creation of parks and protection of land ensuring livable communities for generations to come, and are looking forward to working with TPL to make this country and the world a better place.
