Paul O'Donovan

Paul has spent the past two decades in risk management at large banking institutions leading large scale framework design and implementation that have focused on driving business value through effective governance of data and models. Paul is currently the Head, Data, Analytics and AI Risk for BMO Financial Group where he leads the risk function overseeing the design and deployment of data and AI governance practices across the Bank’s global footprint. Prior to this, Paul has held senior roles in risk governance, model management, and analytics. Paul holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BSc in Mathematics & Financial Mathematics from University College Cork in Ireland. Paul is a native of Cork City, Ireland but has spent the last 15 years in the Chicagoland area and currently lives in Hinsdale, Illinois with his wife and son.
