Marc Hiller
Marc Hiller works with forestry firms, small landowners, environmental organizations, and communities on sustainable forest management, natural climate solutions, and conservation issues. He currently works with Mercuria’s Silvania initiative, investing in natural resource businesses that deliver competitive financial returns and lasting climate and biodiversity impacts. His work takes him to natural forests and restoration sites in Latin America, Central Africa, Southeast Asia and in the United States. Previously, Marc worked with The Lyme Timber Company, Nuveen Natural Capital, and Rainforest Alliance.
Closer to home, Marc serves as the President of Hanover Conservancy, New Hampshire’s oldest local land trust. He served on the Boards of the Willamette Partnership, The Climate Trust, and Ecologic Development Fund. Many years ago, Marc studied forestry, business administration, and political science. He lives with his family in Hanover, New Hampshire.
