Kyle Barnett

Kyle Barnett is the Head of North American Physical Channels and US Head of Channels at BMO Financial Group. In this role Kyle leads efforts including long term physical channel strategic planning, economics analysis, performance standard definition and optimization of all branch and self-service channels in Canada and US. This involves working across borders and business lines to ensure delivery of customer experience and optimal business outcomes. Kyle also serves as the Head of US Channels to coordinate the strategy and delivery of integrated customer experience across mobile, online, contact center, ATM and branch platforms.

Previous to this role, Kyle was the Regional President and Head of Retail Banking for the Chicago Metro North Region. He was accountable for driving growth in Retail Banking, Small Business and Premier Banking across the Chicago Metro North Region which included nearly 100 branches and over 700 employees.

Kyle Barnett joined BMO Harris Bank in 2010 as Senior Vice President, Head of Personal and Small Business Sales Force Effectiveness. He was recruited to develop and deploy sales performance operating model for the branch network. This robust and high-performing model successfully focused on achieving significant and ongoing improvement in productivity, customer experience and financial results.

Prior to joining BMO Harris Bank, Kyle worked for Citizens Financial Group (part of Royal Bank of Scotland) where he had a variety of roles in Business Banking including front line sales management, business strategy and sales support.

Kyle holds a BA from Swarthmore College and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. He was selected to the Crain’s Chicago Business 40 under 40 in 2011. He enjoys endurances sports and Crossfit. Kyle resides in Wilmette, IL with his wife and 4 children.
