Kaʻiulani Sodaro

Kaʻiulani Sodaro is Senior Vice President with Howard Hughes Corporation at Ward Village. She oversees strategic forward planning efforts, regulatory agency coordination, infrastructure development, community engagement and government relations at Ward Village. From new town and commercial projects to multimillion dollar renovations of resort properties and sustainability planning, she has more than 20 years of experience in real estate development. She has worked for The Resort Group, Pūlama Lāna‘i, Kamehameha Schools, Maui Land & Pineapple and Hiltons Hotels.

Born in Honolulu, Kaʻiulani attended Punahou School, received a Bachelor of Science from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and holds a Master of Planning from the School of Policy, Planning and Development at University of Southern California with graduate research distinction from the California Planning Foundation. She is a US Housing and Urban Development Community Fellow, member to the American Institute of Certified Planners, Urban Land Institute, and Ko’olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club. She has previously served on the Board of PBS Hawaiʻi and the City and County of Honolulu Planning Commission.
