Jackie Gingrich Cushman is a syndicated columnist, author, professional speaker, corporate strategist, corporate financial advisor and board member. Her third book, “Our Broken America: Why both sides need to stop ranting and start listening” was published in 2019. Her first book was “5 Principles for a Successful Life.” Her second book, “The Essential American: 15 Documents and Speeches Every American Should Own,” covers the key points of our nation’s history.

She has extensive media experience. Her work has been cited on the Today Show, New York Magazine, USA Today, and the Washington Times. She has appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” and “The View,” CNN’s “Campbell Brown,” “The 700 Club,” Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends,” “The O’Reilly Factor,” “The Sean Hannity Show,” “The Strategy Room,” “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren,” “Geraldo at Large,” “The Huckabee Show,” MSNBC “First Read,” “Thomas Robert,” “Rachel Maddow,” “Lawrence O’Donnell,” GPB’s “Political Rewind with Bill Nigut,” and many others.

Cushman is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. During her years in corporate finance, she ran the financial planning department of a $3 billion wireless company. Cushman earned her MBA in Finance from Georgia State University. She holds the National Association of Corporate Directors Board Leadership Fellows designation. She has served on corporate boards and provides strategic advice.

Cushman served as a Senior Advisor and media surrogate for Newt Gingrich during his 2012 Republican Nomination run, where she not only survived, but thrived under media pressure. Her experience in politics spans four decades and includes volunteering, fundraising, strategy, and public relations/ media.

Cushman’s non-profit activities include having served on the Advisory Council for the Alliance Theatre, and as president of the Mimosa Garden Club. She is founder and chairman of the board of the Learning Makes a Difference Foundation. She is a member of the Atlanta Press Club, the National Association of Corporate Directors and the CFA Institute. Cushman co-chaired the Atlanta Botanical Garden “Garden of Eden Ball,” and the Trust for Public Land’s “Celebration of Land” with her husband Jimmy.

She serves the board of Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students (GEEARS), as the chair of the Atlanta Society of Financial and Investment Professionals Foundation, as the chair of The Trust for Public Land Advisory Board for Georgia, and on the advisory council of Our House, where she is co-chairing a capital campaign.

Cushman lives in Atlanta with her husband Jimmy Cushman, Jr., their children attend college in North Carolina.
