Cox Enterprises

In 2008, The Trust for Public Land and Cox Enterprises created Cox Conserves Heroes, a national conservation awards program to honor individuals who have made an extraordinary contribution to conservation in their communities. By recognizing these unsung heroes, we hope to inspire and support more neighborhood conservation efforts. The program currently runs in Atlanta, New Orleans, Orange County (Calif.), Phoenix, San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Seattle, and Virginia.

Cox Enterprises is a leading communications, media and automotive services company with revenues of nearly $15 billion and more than 66,000 employees. Cox Conserves is Cox Enterprises' national sustainability program that seeks to reduce the company's energy consumption by 20% by 2017. The program embraces renewable forms of energy, conserves natural resources and inspires eco-friendly behavior in the communities Cox serves. The program also encourages Cox's employees and their families to engage in eco-friendly practices that reduce energy use and promote sustainability.
