Statement from Trust for Public Land’s CA Director on News of $15 Million in Funding from California Wildlife Conservation Board

Advances TPL’s Campaign to Secure the Final Protection of Rancho Canada Larga in Ventura County, CA

San Francisco, CA — Statement from Trust for Public Land’s on California’s Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) approval of close to $15M for the acquisition of the Rancho Canada Larga property in Ventura, County California.  

“We are deeply grateful to the Wildlife Conservation Board for their nearly $15 million investment in protecting Rancho Cañada Larga,” said Guillermo Rodriguez, Vice President Pacific Region, California State Director for Trust for Public Land. “This support is a critical milestone in our effort to conserve one of Ventura County’s most iconic open spaces. Rancho Cañada Larga is a landscape of extraordinary ecological and cultural value, and this funding will help to ensure it will be protected for generations to come.”
