Fort King George

Fort King George is a window into Georgia’s past, cherished by the local community and historic preservation enthusiasts nationwide. Visitors can explore an 18th-century fort complete with the officers’ quarters, barracks, guardhouse, baking and brewing house, and blacksmith shop. The Trust for Public Land helped acquire ten acres for an addition to this historic site in cooperation with the state’s Department of Natural Resources.
