But this prime location is also in high demand for urban development, which is why Trust for Public Land worked with local partners to successfully preserve 110 acres on Floyd Hill. Visitors can now explore an expansive trail system for hiking and mountain biking, offering breathtaking views of the Front Range, Centennial Cone, and Lookout Mountain.

Not only is it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, but this space also strategically connects to existing trail systems that were once challenging to access from the I-70 corridor. This 110-acre gateway also provides unique public access to over 12,000 acres of Clear Creek County and Jefferson County open space, ensuring that residents and visitors alike can enjoy the serenity and adventure offered by Colorado’s diverse landscapes.

Now that this land has been safeguarded from development, future generations can continue to revel in the joys of hiking and mountain biking while surrounded by untouched beauty.
