In 1997, The Trust for Public Land added more than 2,000 acres to the Green Mountain National Forest in the southwestern Vermont town of Arlington in a remote area of the Taconic Mountains. The Black Hole Hollow Farm property protects a watershed, wildlife habitat, and outstanding recreational resources. The property has been used by hunters, hikers, and cross-country skiers for generations.
