Trust for Public Land Seeking Renewal of Accreditation

The Trust for Public Land is pleased to announce it is applying for renewal of accreditation with the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance. Accreditation is a mark of distinction, recognizing those land conservation organizations that meet national standards for excellence, and Trust for Public Land was delighted to be accredited five years ago.

Accredited land conservation organizations demonstrate the commitment to excellence by adopting Land Trust Standards and Practices, the ethical and technical guidelines for the responsible operation of a land trust, and meeting the accreditation requirements drawn from them.

A public comment period is now open during which time the Commission invites and accepts written comments on how Trust for Public Land complies with national quality standards. The full list of standards can be found here. You can use the link here or submit your comments via email to info@landtrustaccreditation.org or mail to the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, Attn: Public Comments, 36 Phila Street, Suite 2, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Comments on  Trust for Public Land’s application will be most useful if submitted by June 30, 2022.
