The Trust for Public Land on the Grand Canyon Centennial Protection Act and the Chaco Cultural Heritage Area Protection Act
“The Grand Canyon and the Chaco Canyon are two of our nation’s most sacred places for the communities who live there, and the visitors who come to take in their magnificence,” said Bill Lee, Senior Vice President of Policy, Advocacy and Government Relations at The Trust for Public Land. “We must ensure that community input lies at the center of policy decisions when it comes to these special places, and we need to make sure they remain protected forever. These two bills do just that, and I’m grateful to Chair Raul M. Grijalva and Assistant Speaker Ben Ray Lujan for their leadership.”
