Statement on H.R.6467, The Coronavirus Community Relief Act

Bill Lee, Senior VP of Policy, Advocacy and Government Relations at The Trust for Public Land today released the following statement on H.R.6467, The Coronavirus Community Relief Act

“Our cities and towns are facing unprecedented financial hardship as they work to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. And when faced with budget cuts, it’s often local parks departments that are the first to lose funding. Never has it been more clear the important role parks and green space play in our communities – now is the time to increase not decrease their funding. The Coronavirus Community Relief Act will provide much needed support to cities and towns, keeping more parks open for communities to enjoy”, said Bill Lee, Senior VP of Policy, Advocacy and Government Relations at The Trust for Public Land.
