Statement from Diane Regas on HR 9 Climate Legislation

“We need immediate, bipartisan action to protect people and help slow climate change, and I am encouraged that the House is working to keep the United States in the Paris Climate Agreement. Strong national leadership from both sides of the aisle is essential to address the shared threats we face. We also need our federal government to come together to help states and local communities deliver solutions on the ground, including cleaner energy, green infrastructure and greatly expanded use of parks and natural lands to cool neighborhoods and capture and store carbon. These policies create jobs and protect public health and safety—now and for future generations.”
