Hollywood Sign Sweepstakes

One lucky winner and a guest gain unprecedented access to the Hollywood sign on Thursday, March 22, 2012 along with round trip airfare to Los Angeles, overnight accommodations, and more!

WHAT
In celebration of The Trust for Public Land’s successful quest to raise $12.5 million dollars to save the land around the Hollywood Sign,” LA INC. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau is offering a sweepstakes on its Facebook page, allowing one winner and a guest the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit to the base of the Hollywood sign—an area normally off limits to the public. In addition to visiting the sign, the winner and their guest will receive two Hollywood CityPASS booklets; two round trip economy class airline tickets to Los Angeles on American Airlines valued up to $500 total (subject to airline rules, availability and restrictions); and one night stay accommodation (double occupancy, excluding incidentals and parking) at the Los Angeles Marriott Downtown.

WHY
The winner and a guest will join the ceremony honoring donors who protected the 138-acre Cahuenga Peak, expanding Griffith Park. The property, which creates a green, natural backdrop for the Hollywood Sign, had been for sale for large trophy homes, but was purchased two years ago by The Trust for Public Land for the City of Los Angeles, preserving one of the city’s most beloved icons.

WHEN
The Facebook Sweepstakes is currently active and ends on March 19, 2012 at 11:59 pm (PDT). The winner will be announced via the Facebook page on March 20. The Hollywood Sign visit takes place on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 12:30 p.m.

PRIZE ELIGIBILITY
Only persons residing in United States who are at least 18 years of age can enter. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the package is US $800. Official contest rules can be found by visiting: http://apps.facebook.com/sweepstakeshq/contests/203685/rules
