Connecting everyone to the outdoors has been our mission since we were founded a half century ago. What started as successful efforts to bring nature to park-deprived areas in California soon expanded outward and blossomed into an organization whose positive impact spread throughout the U.S.

Together, at this exciting milestone, we enthusiastically renew our commitment to preserving and enhancing the outdoor places that fuel our collective health and wellbeing and that represent our nation’s rich array of lived experiences.
