Fly fishing in Blackfoot Valley, Montana
This summer we have teamed up with PRO Outfitters to offer you an unforgettable fly fishing adventure with The Trust for Public Land President, Will Rogers, on the North Fork of the Blackfoot River. From our home base at the North Fork Crossing Lodge, you are just a stone's throw from the main stem of the legendary Blackfoot River and fabled casting on the bucket-list Missouri River.
PRO Outfitters was the very first recipient of the annual Orvis Endorsed Outfitter of the year award, recognizing an outfitter who demonstrates expertise in world-class service, passion for the environment and the sport of fly-fishing. PRO Outfitters is the only outfitter in the country to earn five Orvis endorsements. At the North Fork Crossing Lodge, you can connect with nature in luxury, reminiscent of an African Safari camp. You can tell your friends or grandkids that you went to Montana and slept in a tent. It's up to you if you tell them the "tents" had burnished hardwood floors, over-sized feather beds, your own private bath house and toasty heaters. While sleeping in comfort, the only challenge you have each day is deciding which of the varied waters to fish—the Smith River, spring creeks, small mountain tributaries or the famous Blackfoot itself.
Located on the edge of the Bob Marshal Wilderness, the North Fork Crossing Lodge abuts The Trust for Public Land's Montana Legacy Project, an unprecedented partnership between private and public entities to conserve 310,000 acres in the Crown of the Continent. At the end of the evening, we invite you to sit back next to a crackling fire and learn about TPL's long and successful history of conserving the Northern Rockies landscapes in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. Since 1987 TPL has protected more than 600,000 acres in the Northern Rockies and secured public access to hundreds of miles of rivers and streams.
