Fall Foliage Pedaling from Asheville to Greenville

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime cycling excursion through the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to the undulating rollers of South Carolina’s Blue Ridge Foothills. From artsy Asheville to the outdoor lover’s mecca of Greenville, soak up rich local culture while enjoying glorious riding.

The Trust for Public Land’s board member and avid amateur cyclist Michael Patterson will be your host. In 2014 his team set a coast-to-coast speed record for cyclists in their age group. We’ve partnered with Backroads to ensure a pedal-perfect trip. We’ll enjoy premier lodging along the entire route—from George Vanderbilt’s opulent Biltmore Estate to George Hincapie’s cycle-centric Hotel Domestique. Experience first-hand why Hincapie has dubbed this region “one of the best places in the world to be cycling.” Each day we’ll offer you a variety of cycling distances at various levels of effort to choose from.

At the end of the day, you will learn how The Trust for Public Land is using cutting-edge research and innovative mapping techniques to create parks, protect open space, and deliver community-driven conservation plans throughout this region, and nationwide.
