Rian Smith

Rian Smith is Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at The Integral Group, a vertically-integrated real estate development firm.  Rian overseas all real estate related legal documents, and provides legal and transaction support to all of Integral’s real estate development divisions.

Prior to joining Integral, Rian was a commercial real estate attorney in Atlanta for both Arnall Golden Gregory LLP and Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLC (now, Eversheds Sutherland US), where she counseled clients on a broad spectrum of real estate matters.  She earned her juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  She is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia and the State of New York.

In addition to serving on the TPL advisory board, Rian serves on the board of the Frazer Center, an organization committed to serving children and adults with disabilities in inclusive communities, and The Ascent Project, a non-profit formed to serve low-income residents at Integral’s communities.  Rian has also served on the founding board of Emerging Leaders for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta; the steering committee for the University of Pennsylvania’s “Penn Spectrum,” a conference celebrating cultural diversity; and, most recently, the board of directors of the Black Women’s Health Imperative, in Washington, DC.

An Atlanta native, Rian resides in her hometown with her husband and two young sons.
