Since opening its Seattle office over 35 years ago, The Trust for Public Land has protected more than 80,000 acres in Washington state. We helped to establish the Mountains to Sound Greenway—100 miles of scenic viewshed along Interstate 90—and to conserve natural lands in the Columbia River Gorge and on the San Juan Islands. Now, with these areas in the long-term care of local conservation partners, we are turning our attention to shoreline protection in Puget Sound and community planning in high-growth North Central Washington.
