The Trust for Public Land has long worked to conserve the state’s most treasured places, particularly around the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
Currently our work is focused on the Portland metropolitan region, where TPL is championing—and helping to deliver—a fully integrated system of parks, trails and natural areas known as The Intertwine, and in Central Oregon where we are leading efforts to preserve and protect the best of Deschutes County's natural assets. TPL is also helping to restore ancestral homeland to Oregon's native communities, including Chief Joseph Ranch of the Nez Perce and the Klamath Tribes' Mazama Forest.
