Rattlesnake Ridge

The Trust for Public Land has worked for several years to secure critical lands at Snoqualmie Point and along Rattlesnake Ridge—important components of the Mountains to Sound Greenway that provide wildlife habitat and recreational opportunities. In partnership with King County, the Washington Department of Natural Resources, and the US Forest Service, we protected roughly 1,000 acres along Rattlesnake Ridge in 1995 and 1996. Then in 2000, we helped acquire the 160-acre Snoqualmie Winery site that will serve as a picnic area with panoramic views overlooking the greenway and the upper Snoqualmie Valley. In the spring of 2001, we completed the protection of Snoqualmie Point with the acquisition of the 40-acre Wreco site and the 40-acre Swenson site.
