Colorado Greenbelts

Since 1981, The Trust for Public Land has protected nearly 10,000 acres of Colorado greenbelts—land that provides a buffer between open space and development or helps define a community's growth boundary. Greenbelts offer urban dwellers a connection to nature; provide recreational opportunities such as hiking, biking, and bird watching; and preserve habitat for plants and wildlife. TPL has—and continues to—conserve some of the most well-known and loved recreation areas throughout Colorado.
