Parks for People–Arizona

Urban parks in Arizona provide people with opportunities for exercise, recreation, community building, and spiritual renewal in nature, just as they do nationwide. They also reduce crime, revitalize neighborhood economies, and create cool “islands” during hot summer days. The Trust for Public Land creates city playgrounds and protects open space in cities to ensure everyone has a place for recreation and renewal. In Arizona we have helped create parks access to underserved communities in Nogales and Queens Creek and have protected natural areas near Tuscon and Prescott.
