The Trust for Public Land on Senate Interior Appropriations

September 26, 2019

"Now more than ever, Americans need places to get outside and connect with each other,” said Bill Lee, Senior Vice President of Policy, Advocacy and Government Affairs at The Trust for Public Land. “The Land and Water Conservation Fund is central to that effort. We were disappointed to see that the Senate number for LWCF didn’t meet the $524 million that the House approved earlier this year. We look forward to the conference committee in the hope that Congress will agree on a funding level that moves us strongly towards full funding of this critical program."
