THE TRUST FOR PUBLIC LAND ON HOUSE PASSAGE OF INTERIOR AND ENVIRONMENT APPROPRIATIONS BILL

June 25, 2019

Bill Lee, Senior Vice President for Advocacy and Government Relations at The Trust for Public Land, today issued the following statement regarding LWCF funding included in the House Interior and Environment Appropriations Bill:

“The Land and Water Conservation Fund is vital to ensuring that everyone in the United States has access to parks and nature. For more than 50 years, LWCF funding has protected some of the most special places in the country. We applaud the House for including $524 million for LWCF in the House Interior and Environment Appropriations bill, the highest level since 2003, reflecting the broad bipartisan support for the program. We look forward to working with lawmakers to secure full and dedicated funding.”
