Bozeman, MT

On Saturday July 20th, Story Mill Community Park will be opened to the Bozeman community. Over seven years in the making by The Trust for Public Land and City of Bozeman, the park is a true community effort with support from over 450 donors, design input from literally hundreds of community members, and partnerships with over 20 nonprofit organizations.

”Ultimately, Story Mill Community Park is a place for the community to share our connection to the outdoors and to one another – a place to recreate, celebrate and play together for generations to come,” said Maddy Pope, project manager for The Trust for Public Land, “We are incredibly excited to celebrate a completed Story Mill Community Park with the community on Saturday July 20th.

“Story Mill Community Park is a world-class park for the community of Bozeman offering the whole range of park experiences from a contemplative walk in the nature sanctuary to family picnics and community events,” said Mayor Cyndy Andrus, “We couldn’t be more excited and grateful for the partnership with The Trust for Public Land.”

The Saturday July 20th event will feature a range of family-friendly events and is free and open to the public. The day of celebration will culminate with a free outdoor concert featuring Nashville recording artist Holly Williams.  Please gather just prior to the concert, for a park dedication at 6:45 pm at the Park Activity Lawn. A full schedule and map is available here.
