Statement from Trust for Public Land on the Passing of Dana Crawford
Statement from Jim Petterson, Vice President, Mountain West Region for Trust for Public Land, on the Passing of Dana Crawford:
“All of us at Trust for Public Land are deeply saddened by the passing of Dana Crawford, a leader and pioneer in preserving and enhancing our shared community gathering spaces and our collective sense of place.
Dana was a long-time Trust for Public Land advisory board member who brought to the organization her unique and powerful voice as an advocate for the essential role parks and public lands play in building healthy, vibrant and livable communities.
We honor Dana’s remarkable legacy and know that she will long be remembered not just for the historic buildings and neighborhoods she saved, but for the community building ethic she modeled and instilled in so many of us.
Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.”
