Hiking the Zion Narrows with Erik Weihenmayer

Erik Weihenmayer, blind adventurer, summited Mount Everest and now he takes on the Zion Narrows to raise awareness about the importance of keeping our public lands protected and accessible. The 258-acre Chamberlain Ranch, two miles east of Zion National Park, is the main route into the Zion Narrows, one of the most famous "slot" canyons on the Colorado Plateau. Developers planned to subdivide it into smaller home sites, but The Trust for Public Land paid $1.41 million to buy development rights, meaning no subdivision will occur and the Narrows will remain accessible to hikers forever.
