AP Accountant (location flexible)

Position Overview:
The AP Accountant performs support for accounts payable and general accounting. This is a fully remote position.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Process and manage vendor invoices and inquiries in our AP ticketing system from start to finish.

Communicate with the staff, respond to inquiries, and obtain necessary documentation and approvals for vendor payments in accordance to policy.

Ensure accurate expense and invoice coding.

Process employee expense reimbursements in accordance to company policy ensuring proper documentation requirements are met.

Respond to vendor payment inquiries

Enter payments into Lawson Accounting system with accurate coding

Combine PDF documents for archiving to the invoice imaging program

Verify ACH bank information

Process payments to vendors and employees
-
Credit card reconciliation, coding, invoice and approval collection.

Bank Reconciliation and General ledger reconciliation.

JE data entry
-
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in Account Payable
-
Knowledge of 1099 filing process/W-9 requirements

Proficient data entry and computer skills, including basic MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and Accounting system

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressure

Superior customer service skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

This is a Temp to Hire position, with the opportunity to become a full-time employee. As a full-time non-exempt employee, you will be eligible for Trust for Public Land’s comprehensive benefits program which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, vacation, ten + holidays, and a 403(b) retirement plan, currently with an up to 7% company match. We offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience; the hiring range for this position is $56,000-62,000.
