Peter B. Cooper

Peter B. Cooper of Woodbridge is a partner in the New Haven law firm of Cooper, Whitney, Cochran & Francois where he has concentrated on environmental protection since 1970, and is currently general counsel of the Connecticut Fund for the Environment, a Connecticut-based legal advocacy group. For the past twenty years he has served in various capacities on the board of the Connecticut Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, where he helped to establish the Land Trust Service Bureau to provide conservancy assistance to the 100+ local land trusts spread throughout Connecticut. Peter also serves on the local land trust in his hometown of Woodbridge, In recent years, he started and co-taught at the Yale Law School’s Interim Environmental Law Clinic. Peter and his wife Diana live on a farm straddling the outside of New Haven.
