Intern (Finance)

The Trust for Public Land is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and conservation oriented individual looking to gain hands-on experience supporting our Finance team at our downtown San Francisco headquarters. The internship is 6 months in length and the hours can be flexible (20-30 hours a week) to accommodate a school schedule but this intern must commit to a set weekly schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work on a variety of projects and administrative duties that include:
  • Assist with contract billing and account reconciliation
  • Database maintenance and data entry
  • Lead and organize new document scan project
  • Work with financial data and reports; conduct searches and queries
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance or accounting) from an accredited two or four-year college or university
  • Interest in the nonprofit sector; conservation a plus!
  • Computer savvy is required.  Intermediate level experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as Adobe Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility in receiving day to day tasks
  • Strong desire to obtain new skills and exposure to working in a professional environment
  • Works well independently with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
