Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with the Board finance, audit, and investment committees, the CFAO will play a critical role with colleagues in developing and implementing the national strategy for the Trust for Public Land. The CFAO oversees the team responsible for the organization’s treasury, financial management, and accounting functions as well as the IT, Administration, and Human Resources functions. The position calls for a broad-gauged financial and administrative leader and communicator, preferably with prior CFAO or CFO experience, who brings not only strong technical skills but also personal qualities of collaboration, accessibility, and optimism. Candidates should have a successful track record in budgeting, financial planning and analysis, grants accounting, and staff management, and ideally will have experience working within a complex non-profit environment.
