Donald Neal

Donald Neal joined Southern California Edison in 2012 and serves as Director of Corporate Environmental Services responsible for environmental impact analysis and environmental compliance programs, including biological and cultural resource mitigation, and habitat restoration. Prior to joining SCE he spent 12 years at Calpine Corporation, serving as Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) since 2006. At Calpine he was responsible for all aspects of Calpine’s EHS programs including policy and standards, compliance, regulatory affairs, SEC and Sarbanes Oxley reporting, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Calpine, he worked at Earth Tech, where he assisted clients with environmental licensing and evaluating existing assets for potential acquisition. He also was a Senior Consultant with Arthur D. Little, Inc., where he assisted industrial clients with developing and implementing EHS management systems.

Mr. Neal has over 30 years of experience with EHS issues and currently serves on EPA’s Clean Air Act Advisory Committee. He chaired the Milton (MA) Conservation Commission for over 15 years, leading the protection of wetlands and waterways in the town. Mr. Neal has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Biology, both from the University of Massachusetts.
