David Wilby


David Wilby (Dave) is president of Wilby Public Affairs, LLC, which provides strategic public affairs consulting services to infrastructure developers and investors, energy companies, and other organizations in the U.S. He was previously a vice president at two leading renewable energy companies, where he led state-level government relations in a wide range of markets across the country. Wilby was also executive director of the Independent Energy Producers of Maine, an association of Maine's renewable power generators, and an advisor to former Senator William S. Cohen and to former Maine Governor Angus S. King, Jr. For King, Wilby acted as strategist and project manager for the King Administration's landmark land conservation program, which resulted in an unprecedented level of federal and state funding for the protection of over a million acres of land. He managed both legislative passage of a $50 million state land conservation bond and the state's successful attempt to obtain over $25 million in federal funds for conservation projects. Wilby, a New Hampshire native, has a degree in government and history from Bowdoin College. He lives with his wife and two children in Brunswick, Maine.
