Chris Chavez
Most recently, Chavez served as director of Global Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Relations for Ball Corporation. Chavez led Ball’s global social sustainability strategy and corporate citizenship initiatives. Additionally, he served as Executive Director of the Ball Foundation, partnering with nonprofits in areas of environmental sustainability, disaster relief, food security, and STEM education.
Prior to Ball Corp., Chavez served as director of government affairs and community relations for rocket company United Launch Alliance (ULA), a joint venture of Lockheed Martin and The Boeing Company. In this role, he developed and managed a robust national community investment program, including employee volunteerism. Chavez has counseled nonprofits and Fortune 500 corporations, including AT&T, Qwest Communications (CenturyLink | Lumen), Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin) and the Downtown Denver Partnership, Inc.
Chavez serves on the Board of Trustees for the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, The Latino Leadership Institute, and B:Civic. He earned the Boston College Carroll School of Management, Corporate Community Involvement certificate, and holds a degree in journalism from the University of Wyoming.
