Carolyn O’Brien

Carolyn O’Brien is the former Executive Director of the Viking Global Foundation, a foundation focused on promoting school readiness for at risk children in Connecticut and New York. From 2004 until 2011, Ms. O’Brien was the Senior Vice President of Development at AmeriCares, a nonprofit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization. From 2001 to 2004, she was a principal at Philanthropy Partners, where she provided strategic management and fundraising consulting to nonprofit organizations throughout Fairfield County. She also co-founded the Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk. Ms. O’Brien holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Smith College. (Member since 2013.)
