Britt Whitfield

Britt Whitfield has redefined the spirit of entrepreneurial success to include philanthropist, executive, and professional good time girl. As the CEO and a founder of The Revel Group, Chicago’s premiere event-centric agency, she grew the company from one employee to 250; increased sales from $80,000 to exceed $33 million in 2018; and established three off-shoot businesses and a nonprofit organization. In a short 11 years, The Revel Group’s roster of clients includes the Chicago Cubs, Bank of America, Twitter, Zillow and Teknion. Britt attributes her success to an insatiable drive to succeed and rethinking how and where to apply some good, old-fashioned elbow grease.

In 2007 at the age of 28, Britt launched the widely successful Revel Global Events. Early on, she adopted a unique business model, opening other event- centric businesses under the Revel brand umbrella. While she runs Revel Global Events, her business partner oversees Revel Décor. In 2013, The Revel Group launched Revel Space, a collection of premiere event venues including Revel Fulton Market and Revel Motor Row, a once in a lifetime opportunity to transform the historic 1930 landmark property into a 50,000 square foot event space. In 2014 Limelight Catering was acquired to provide her clients with top tier catering services, a business that has seen over 400% growth since its acquisition. Next on the horizon was the launch of Belly Flop, a beach bodega servicing the Long Beach, Indiana community and beyond in the coming years. Individually, the different Revel businesses serve a variety of client needs, large or small. Together, The Revel Group is Chicago’s only comprehensive event-centric production company with a cohesive creative vision.

Britt is also passionate about giving back to the community that supported her success. Her support of numerous not-for-profits includes Cubs Charities, Urban Initiatives, and Cristo Rey schools. In addition she serves on several boards including Trust for Public Land, Erie Charter School, Rush University Hospital, Canine Therapy and The Pagano foundation. The Revel Group continues to thrive, and is expected to gain even more momentum in the coming years. In 2015, Britt joined Young Presidents Organization (YPO) to continue to hone her leadership skills and the businesses successes have been recognized by INC 5000 the past 3 years, 50 Fastest Women Businesses by Fortune Magazine and as one of Crain’s 40 Under 40. In 2018, she was asked to be a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. Britt’s management and creative vision is an inspiration to her peers.
