Bob Hines is retired and lives in Honolulu with his wife, Catherine Ngo, who is the President of Central Pacific Bank. Bob spent 20 years in Silicon Valley prior to relocating to Oahu. He served as General Counsel and Senior Lobbyist at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG), a progressive business trade association representing the largest high tech and clean tech corporations in California. Prior to joining SVLG, Bob was the Worldwide Director of Government Affairs for Solectron, a Fortune 500 contract manufacturer of high-tech equipment and components. Bob also served as CEO of a trade association representing large multi-housing developers and was the Chief of Staff of California State Assemblyman Jim Cunneen. He served six years as an Officer in U.S. Army Judge Advocate Corps, with his last posting at the Presidio of San Francisco where Bob led a team of attorneys that helped transition the Presidio to the National Park Service.
Bob graduated from the University of Missouri with an Honors Degree in Economics and Political Science, and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School.
